1905 Print Gruuthuse House Bruges Belgium Notre Dame Architecture Gothic XEI6 XEI8 Drawing upon his childhood memoriesThis is an original 1905 black and white halftone print of "The 'Paradise' of Notre Dame and Gruthuuise." Depicted is the Gruuthuse House in Bruges, Belgium. It is situated behind Notre Dame church, the faint and looming presence of which is seen rising in the background. The reproduction method of this image creates an atmospheric effect, almost enveloping the intricate structures in an obscuring fog, which adds a wonderful sense of mystery or wonder
