Antique Handpainted Porcelain Plate Featuring Lily of the Valley - Made by O & EG Royal Austria - Painted by Laporte circa 1899-1918 marriage - Hollow handle{HISTORY} Made in Austria between 1899 1918, this antique porcelain plate was handpainted by an artist named Laporte for the pottery O & E. G. Royal Austria. The O & E. G. in the pottery name stands for the owner's initials brothers Oscar and Edgar Gutherz who built up a reputation for creating some of the finest porcelain dishware in the world. It is always fun to draw connections between antique pieces that seemingly have nothing in common at all.
