A group of Second War period documents belonging to Luftwaffe Major Martin Krner. Born 15 May 1913 in Meinersdorf, Saxony, Krner enlisted in the Luftwaffe on 18 August 1939 and served with a transportation wing through December 1944. He was awarded the German Cross in Gold on 12 January 1943, and the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross on 14 March 1943. Holding the rank of Hauptmann (Captain), 4. KGrp z. b. V. 9., as of April 1943, he
