Constructed of a gilded and silvered bronze alloy, the obverse consisting of a double overlaid sunburst pattern with eight points, the obverse with a silvered disc bearing a 1957 version of the Iron Cross, within a stamped gilded circular oak leaf wreath overlaid with ribbons and bearing an introduction year of 1941 at the bottom, the inner and outer borders of the wreath are lined with red enameled bands, the reverse with
