Prunus avium 'Lambert' ~ Lambert Sweet Cherry no-masters Betty Magnolia is a compactLambert cherry (Prunus avium 'Lambert') is a classic sweet cherry variety known for its large, heart shaped, dark red to nearly black fruits. The white flowers bloom in spring followed by sweet, rich flavor with firm flesh. Its dark green foliage turns yellow in fall. Grows best in most, well drained soils that are lightly acidic. Lambert is not self fertile, so it requires a compatible pollinator variety like Bing, Black Tartarian, or Rainier.
