This finish was found on a few different models from Gibson in the mid to late 80's including their Les Paul Studio, Standard & of course the Custom. Gibson neck profiles varied during this time period; this particular guitar has a very Slim Taper neck profile that's super skinny from the 1st through 5th fret while tapering out to a rounded shape near the 9th fret. This 1985
